What the site is

Polling Interval publishes articles, guides and calculators about network monitoring and related topics. Everything here is general information written to be useful, not professional advice for your particular network. Commands, configurations and numbers are checked when we publish them, but software changes, hardware differs and mistakes happen.

Use at your own risk

Test any command or configuration on a lab or non-production system first, keep backups, and follow your organization's change process. We are not responsible for outages, data loss or security problems that result from applying what you read here. The Netcalc tools show their formulas so you can check their results; verify anything that matters before you rely on it.

The text, diagrams and images on this site belong to Polling Interval unless stated otherwise. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page. Code snippets and configuration examples in articles may be used freely in your own systems. Please do not republish whole articles or the field manual elsewhere.
